Explosion Review
So another new band has launched. Its a long season and I have to admit that I am getting saturated. But I’m a trooper and must persevere….and look intently on scantily clad women! Thanks to Trinidad and tobago carnival costume photos for the pictures. A link to their album is at the bottom of this post.
I think its a good sign that nowadays new bands can launch basically starting at near the top in terms of visual appeal for costumes. For 2012 there is no shortage of shiny, sparkly, skimpy costumes that look pretty damn good at first glance. Explosion is no exception and has put together a good presentation.
The female costumes, though all unique, definately reminded me of Fantasy carnival. The wings and bling….and strings!
Many ladies have already started to complain about all the G-strings. In the past a band would have one “special” section that was more expensive ,came in only slim sizes and G-strings, that only the well connected could get into. The new bands have basically destroyed that trend by makings sparkly G-string costumes common. As a guy….WHO VEX! The more G-strings the better. We will tolerate the occasional sight you can’t unsee for the many many beautiful West Indian women who will set the Bam Bam free.
The male costumes were decent. Most were pretty safe with only a few making a failing grade. The Red costume has Divo written all over it and the purple waistband looks like a diaper.
But all and all Explosion has a solid presentation with pretty costumes. 2012 will be a year where no one can really say they couldn’t find a pretty costume. Customer service and comfort on the road will really be what separates the wheat from the chaff.
