Road March Jamaica 2022

This year, instead of having a costume put down from early, I found myself costumeless and alone at 10am carnival day. I have to thank friends who managed to get me road access for these photos I got and the fun I had.

For sure, the road was very different without Xaymaca (a story for another time) but ROAD is ROAD and despite the minor cultural differences between the bands, being on the road after all these years was still an emotional and joyful experience.

The day started with my carnival nightmare come to life where I was walking for an hour, could hear the band, but could not find the band. We finally caught up at the lunch spots where I have to admit, Xodus knocked it out the park with an awesome lunch experience at Devon House.

The post lunch road experience was more and more vibes as the drinks seeped into peoples bones.
