It’s time for the SOCA SWITCH! How to hear the new 2023 soca music first.
Christmas has come and gone. I hope you all had a great day full of food and family.
Boxing Day is traditionally the time of the soca switch. On this day the radio stations in Trinidad switch over from an eclectic mix of genres (including a healthy dose of hardcore dancehall) to play almost 100% soca. This is also the time the big soca hits for the season start dropping.
Listening to Trinidad radio has the advantage of hearing the songs that are actually hot on the ground in Trinidad rather than guessing which song on your favourite mix will be hot.
By the time you reach Trinidad you will know what’s hot from what’s not!
