In the last few years, DJ Matt Camps has stamped his authority on both the DJ scene as well as the Carnival fete scene here in Jamaica. Soca camp is now established as the start of the Jamaica carnival festivities. An event that Jamaican soca purists can come to get the ball rolling and learn new music before most of the carnival chasers arrive.
