Phuket 2023 review
Its not often I get to witness first hand the growth and maturation of an event. Well, with PHUKET, I was there from year ONE when it was a small intimate fete by anchorage with great vibes, lots of alcohol and good food. Fast forward years later and PHUKET is now a big fete which remains a staple in my carnival schedule.
The highlight again remains the UNMATCHED vibes and energy in this fete. We arrived during what would normally be considered the “early bounce” in Jamaican terms and the crowd was already jumping, screaming the songs and getting on wild! This only got more intense as the night rolled on! I am certain this is strongly linked to the fact that PHUKET patrons are DROWNED in liqour and Buried under mountains of food by the promoters. 6 bars including a self serve premium bar and a large food court with many food options made sure that there could be no complaints.
Next year I’m planning on trying mostly new fetes on my carnival trip, but I’m not playing with my carnival Friday. PHUKET remains CEMENTED in my carnival friday list and it definitely should be in yours!
Take a look at some photos I got below:
