Au Revoir cruise, carnival ash Wednesday, 2023
Ash Wednesday is traditionally the end of carnival when lent begins. Many carnival chasers remain in Trinidad for a few days after mas and events have popped up to cater to them.
One option that was popular a few years ago was flying across to the twin island of Tobago for a relaxing time on the idyllic beaches or for laid back events. My issue with this is passing thru the airport to get there. And the flight in a relatively small propeller plane.

Down de islands
Another popular option is a cruise “down the islands” which refers to cruises from Trinidad to nearby offshore islands.

I for one like this stress free option and have decided to go for a relaxing yet fun down de islands cruise that we used to do called Au Revoir.
its a food inclusive event where all chasers, ice, etc are provided and all you need to do is bring your own booze.

It was always a great time with a lot of repeat patrons. It felt like a family of friends by the end of the day.
