Jamaica carnival isn’t that far away and I know many people are either coming for the first time, or looking for an easier way to make their carnival better. Well, I’m going to do for you what I would want for me. I want to know when is best to travel.  Where is best to stay.  I want to have a great fete list and  just pay one money and get all my fete tickets delivered to me.  I want to jump with the best band.
Lets make that all happen!

WHEN TO ARRIVE/LEAVE

Fly in to Norman Manley from April 3rd (assuming you land before 9pm, otherwise arrive the 2nd) and leave April 9th.  This will be the time of the main big fetes and gives a great balance of fetes and price.
If money and time are no object then come in from easter friday (April 5th) to party the easter weekend in Ocho Rios before the Kingston events get going. 

WHERE TO STAY

I have of course posted many times about staying in New Kingston for carnival in Jamaica.  The best and most convenient hotels are on Knutsford boulevard in the heart of new Kingston. Prices in Kingston range from 550usd to 80usd per night for decent stays.

Spanish court, Pegasus, Two different Marriott hotels, Courtleigh hotel.

Alternatives include “R” hotel, Four seasons hotel, Terra Nova hotel.

Altemont Court hotel or Alambra inn are more affordable alternatives. 

HOW TO GET AROUND

I would recommend getting a driver to help you get around kingston for carnival in jamaica. its best to get a trusted driver or 2 and contract them to carry you to all your events.
I am going to give you the number for MY trusted driver and if he is busy he can put you on to other drivers to take care of you.

We have our eyes wide open for any new fetes for 2024 and to confirm the return of our usual fetes.

We follow a comprehensive list updated by IAMSOCA to keep us in the know (see in the website menu above).  For now I am going to give you a personalized fete list of my favourite events to consider from what has been announced (SO FAR). As we get closer to the time (late march) and more events come out, this list will be adjusted (except for SUNKISSED) and eventually I will give you my final list of preferred events to attend with hyperlinks to info and tickets (check back soon).

Friday in the day, I don’t want you to consider any other option….come to SUNKISSED!  An exclusive all inclusive cruise to Maiden cay, a small atoll off the shores of Port Royal were we party till the sun sets over the Caribbean sea.

Friday night in carnival in Jamaica is J’ouvert. I’m jumping with Immortals j’ouvert by GenXs.

Saturday.

SUNDAY
Sunday is the road parade for carnival in Jamaica. I had a BLAST with GenXs last year and I FULLY recommend them for the road for 2024.
