While making cropover plans I came across some info that has given me cause to adjust and perfect my workout plan.
TCC has informed me that they grow ’em big in Barbados. The Lehwego crew will look “ordinary” and even be “overshadowed” by the average male masquerader. If not the average, then by enough to be significant. She then put some fear in us by showing us photos of her vision of the average Bajan (see photos of “Doddy” attached to this post and the cover photo)
Part of the allure of carnival for me is the rush of narcissistic delight that comes from being in, or at least near, the top tier of male physiques on the road. Being just another average joe is not in my plans!

Being ordinary is NOT enough!

If you share my concern, here is the workout plan you need to stand out from the crowd or at least reach your maximum potential.

My plan is founded on a presumption that this year, you and I will have more willpower. We will make a decision, and stick to it, in order to better ourselves.

I am going to cut out all junk food and sugar from my diet. That means water instead of juice. No chips, cookies etc. At the same time I will increase my caloric intake in order to support muscle growth. This means pasta and lots of lean meats.

This increased intake MUST come at a price. That price is a HELLISH work out that brings me to the brink of tears on a regular basis, at least 5 days a week. If you don’t do the work you will NOT see results (other than gaining fat). My advice…get a trainer to help!

Its approximately 80 days to cropover. When we get to 40 days to cropover things will change a bit. I will stick with more or less the same diet but simply replace some of the Starches with salads. I will also restart my ( recently abandoned) HIIT training as well as some traditional low intensity training.

thorThis will hopefully net me a few pounds of lean muscle to compete with the locals.

Ladies, don’t fall into the trap of “I don’t want to get muscular”. An adult female has the testosterone level of a 10 year old boy. If you workout really really hard you will get hot…that is all!
If getting muscular was soooooo easy I wouldn’t have a fitness section on my site.

So the time is now! Work hard and accomplish your goals….nothing beats being half naked on the road, the object of attention and brimming with confidence….NOTHING!
